GEAUGA COUNTY AUDITOR RECEIVES AWARD

Excellence in Financial Reporting

CHARDON, OHIO – June 15, 2021 – The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada has presented its Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (“PAFR” award) to the Geauga County Auditor’s Office for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019. This award is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports.

“Congrats to every one of our team members involved,” said Auditor Charles E. Walder. “This is an honor, and my Office will continue to serve the good people of Geauga County through teamwork and responsible fiscal management.”
In order to receive an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting, a government unit must publish a Popular Annual Financial Report, whose contents conform to program standards of creativity, presentation, understandability, and reader appeal.
